Taking on the Education, One person at a Time

Wally Estrada, the founder and director of Escuela Vida y Esperanza has dedicated the majority of his adult life to education. Wally started the school with the vision of making disciples of Jesus through Christian education and with the desire of serving the community of Santa Lucia Milpas Altas.   The co-educational school opened in 2000 with sixteen students in three elementary grades.  Vida & Esperanza has increased the number of grades taught and has increased the size of its facilities to offer a Christ-centered education from kindergarten through 11th grade over the years.  More than 300 students are currently enrolled in Vida & Esperanza School and are served by a staff 20 dedicated teachers and administrators.
