Quality education for girls and young women
Proximos Pasos received its first class of students in 2002 with a passion to educate, disciple, and provide new opportunities to girls and young women in a community with a long history of discrimination. Proximos Pasos started with just nine students in a small rented house. Over the years, the school has grown and expanded in facilities, grades offered, a broader curriculum, and in the total number of students enrolled.
Proximos Pasos School offers a quality, well-rounded, Christ-centered education for girls in grades 1 through 11. With the Lord’s provision, prayer, and a committed staff, Proximos Pasos has grown into a fully-accredited Guatemalan school that has influenced and blessed hundreds of girls, their families, and the local community in multiple ways.
Creating the appropriate spaces for the educational community
Proximos Pasos serves the community of Santa Maria de Jesus, sharing the Gospel by providing quality education to girls and young women so that they and their families can function effectively in their community and beyond.
Our objective is to provide education to girls and young women who lack opportunities to develop academically and to be able to transform the future of their families.
To impact the life of our educational community through the teaching of the Bible as part of their academic formation.
To create the appropriate spaces for the educational community to develop and visualize the opportunities they can obtain through their academic preparation.
