Preparing For The Future

Sustainable solutions for a better quality life

The Appropriate Technology Program promotes sustainable solutions that better the quality of life for families in rural communities through the construction of improved wood stoves, nutritional education, and education on agricultural technology such as hydroponics.

In addition to providing safe stoves, the program develops educational spaces where women and students acquire practical knowledge that impacts their health, finances, and immediate environment.

educate, disciple, and provide

“A stove can change a kitchen,
but knowledge transforms a community.”

The Appropriate Technology Program objective is:

  • To reduce the amount of smoke exposure in homes through the installation of better stoves.
  • To empower women through continued education in cooking, nutrition, and weekly devotions.
  • To teach students how to use hydroponics as an alternative means of production and education.
  • To promote the responsible use of natural resources and to reinforce the use of self-sustaining food sources.
