Sara Eliker Santizo

Vida & Esperanza and Special Projects

I grew up in a very loving home that attended church, but I never knew what relationship with Christ meant until my early 30’s when I accepted Christ as my personal Savior.

In 2009, I went on my first short-term missions trip to Guatemala and had the privilege of working on projects at both MI’s schools: Vida & Esperanza and Próximos Pasos. I distinctly remember stating on our last night of that trip, “I’m not quite sure what it looks like right now, but I know my time here is not finished.”

Fast forward five years when God opened the doors to join Mission Impact and I obediently walked through them. Throughout those five years, the Lord was preparing me – teaching me patience; learning to trust completely in Him; understanding truly what it means to be filled and walk in the Spirit. My desire is that the Lord will use me in Guatemala for His glory.

In March 2017 I married Juan José Santizo surrounded by family and loved ones. We are enjoying serving the Lord together.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
