Melisa Mendieta de Zepeda
I was born and raised in Guatemala City. My parents are missionaries. My dad is from Nicaragua, my mom is from Costa Rica, they have lived in Guatemala for 50 years. My dad is a pastor and a professor at Central American Theology Seminary (CATS) in Guatemala City. I married when I was 23 years old, both my husband and I served with Jeff Sprecher since 1999. We have two children, Josue, 5 years, and Elias, who is 3 years old.
My husband currently works at CATS coordinating the guest department since 2006 and I continue to serve with Mission Impact. Currently I am finishing my bachelors degree in Bible and Theology at CATS.
I have been working with Wally Estrada since October 2001 at Vida y Esperanza. I teach English. I began teaching lower elementary and now teach the Jr. High students.
I knew since the time I was 13 years old that I wanted to teach English. In 1995, God put the desire in my heart to serve him through teaching English. Since then, I have been serving the Lord using the gifts He has given me.
