Psalm 27:1I accepted Jesus into my heart right before my fourth birthday after my sister Juliet shared the Gospel with me. As a result of my young age at the time, I know that God can work in the hearts of his youngest children. I came to Guatemala for the first time in 1999 and each summer thereafter doing short term missions.
I knew the Lord was calling me to go deeper and in September of 2003, I came to Guatemala to serve full time. I began my ministry teaching elementary English classes at Escuela Vida y Esperanza. After three years, the Lord laid it upon my heart to work with the Sowing Hope child sponsorship program. I work with both of Mission Impact's partner schools, Escuela Vida and Proximos Pasos.
I long to see the children at both schools understand that Jesus loves them and has a plan for each one of them. It brings me joy to see the children all together singing praises to their Heavenly Father, something that would not happen at any other school in the village.
