"Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart."
Psalm 37:4

I became a Christian in second grade and truly believe that at this age, I invited Christ into my heart and recognized my need for a Savior. My experience gives me hope that my students at Vida y Esperanza can also have their own personal encounter with Jesus Christ at an early age.  In the year 2000 I attended Urbana, a large missions conference.

It was during that conference that God began sowing the seeds in my heart to live in a Spanish-speaking country and share His love with children.  It took five years for those seeds to take root. I completed my masters degree in teaching and taught Spanish at Scarbough High School in Maine.

I came to Guatemala full time in September 2006. Since working at Vida y Esperanza, God has continued to confirm His call through the smiles and hugs from my students, and continues to grow the fruits of the Spirit and work on my character through daily situations and interactions with teachers and students.
